Salut mon ami!
I recorded a 6-episode podcast series about a decade ago and called it Yoruba Igbo Muslimah.
Why?
Because I wanted to tell my story as a Muslim kid growing up as a minority in a Christian Igbo city.
I recorded on a cheap mic in my closet and the edit was choppy, but I liked my podcast regardless.
And a lot of people enjoyed it too.
I think that was the first time I connected with my true fans.
I say ‘connect’ because I’d been on radio for a while before then, but felt like it was a one-way interaction.
With the podcast though, people would reach out to me on Instagram and I even shared my episodes via DM groups on IG. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was building a community. Or something that could have become one.

I’ve changed the title of this podcast to the Creative Entrepreneurial Podcast because I want to talk about creativity and entrepreneurship, the monetization of entrepreneurship, creative entrepreneurship…
Sounds like the same things, but they’re not.
It will be weird because I’ll start out sharing old episodes of Yoruba Igbo Muslimah to start. I think it’s probably a bad idea, but I want all my stuff in one place.
And I’m curious to see what happens.
So, let’s just call this another experiment.
